OCS personnel have been involved with the development of significant operational policies in the deepwater DP drilling industry. This involvement when combined with the number of DP units with which they have first hand knowledge places the OCS Marine personnel at the forefront of the DP industry.

The prime direction for support is that of Marine Operations integrated with Dynamic Positioning systems for such specialist units as Shuttle Tankers, DP FPSO, Dive vessels, and Construction units.  OCS has also been asked to provide assurance in terms of vessel compliance evaluation for specialized well test and offshore supply vessels.
